Key Responsibilities of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Travel
•
Manage critical care of pediatric patients with respiratory illnesses, sepsis, and DKA
•
Operate pressure lines such as CVPs and arterial lines
•
Care for ventilated patients using HFOV, VDR, and Servo
•
Administer drips including epi, nor-epi, milrinone, dopamine, precedex
•
Handle complex trauma and postop pediatric patients with congenital anomalies or tracheostomies
•
Perform unit-specific procedures like Foley insertions and trans-pyloric feeding tubes
Requirements of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Travel
•
Active TX RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
•
PALS and BLS certifications
•
Minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience
