RN - Emergency

Contract | Nights | 4x12 Hours (18:30–07:00) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, 68-bed Emergency Department that includes super track, psych, trauma, results pending, and hallway bed areas, as well as all-private-room accommodations.
Manage and administer critical drips including TNK, Cleviprex, and Level 1 infusion for MTP.
Work within a Level 3 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Regional Cardiac Center (Cath, EP, IR) environment, as well as a Pediatrics area.
Collaborate with a robust support team including PCT per pod, First-Look RN, Triage RN, Charge RN, Secretary, RT, Lab, and Critical Response RN.
Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios targeting 1:4 or 1:5, subject to change based on staffing, census, and acuity.
Adhere to holiday coverage requirements, with expected availability to work either the eve or day of Christmas and New Year's.
Required Qualifications
Valid New York State RN License (must have at least applied if still pending)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing; travel experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required
TNCC or ATCN — must be in hand
Proficiency in Epic EMR — required
Availability for every other weekend; no block scheduling is expected
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals accepted at a local rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pediatric emergency nursing experience
SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) experience or comfort with accepting patients requiring SANE exams
Prior travel nursing experience within the Emergency Room specialty
