Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
Manage a patient assignment in accordance with unit staffing ratios (expected 1:6–7 patients on nights)
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Adhere to facility policies, including holiday scheduling requirements — travelers are expected to be available to work either the eve or day of Christmas and New Year's
Required Qualifications
Valid New York State Registered Nurse license (candidates who have at least applied for licensure may be considered)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
EPIC electronic health records experience required
Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate (locals within 75 miles may be considered under a local rate structure)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Flexibility with holiday scheduling and limited time-off requests (7 days or fewer total RTO preferred; one holiday maximum)
