Schedule: 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; floating between units may be requiredHighlights:- Join a 379-bed Short Term Acute Care facility designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center- Manage a diverse patient population including stroke, TIA, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgical patients, trauma, and cardiac telemetry cases- Work with a 29-bed Neuro Telemetry unit featuring 4 dedicated epilepsy monitoring beds with continuous EEG capabilities- Patient ratios: 1:4 during days and nights, 1:5 on weekends- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, and therapy services- Orientation includes dedicated mentors and specialized onboarding to ensure success in this fast-paced environmentRequirements:- Current RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a relevant specialty- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios and telemetry/stepdown environments preferred- Level II Trauma Center and community hospital experience preferred- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (including titration of insulin and cardiac drips), central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and airway management- Ability to manage heparin protocols and work with rapid response/code teams- 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 yearsWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative, high-acuity environment where you'll make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
