Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown

•

Manage patient ratios of 3:1 for stepdown or 6:1 for med-surg

•

Execute titration of drips, including heparin and insulin

•

Monitor patients using Phillips telemetry equipment

•

Coordinate with Charge RNs and Clinical Associates

•

Adapt to flexible unit needs between floor and stepdown patients

Requirements of the RN - Stepdown

•

Active RN license

•

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA

•

Proficiency in EPIC charting system

•

Experience in titrating drips

•

Ability to float to other units as needed
