Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Greensboro, NC | Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi, Non-Trauma)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekends required (at least 8 per contract); holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma emergency department setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV starts, blood product administration, and central line care and management
Administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs, and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment
Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
Complete a compliance EKG exam prior to assignment (2 attempts allowed)
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in hand at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
EPIC EMR experience required
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required
Requested time off must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Experience with procedural sedation and management of hemodynamically unstable patients
Familiarity with triage protocols in a high-volume emergency department environment
