Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU setting, including management of complex neurological conditions such as subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Manage and monitor external ventricular drains (EVDs) and lumbar drains. Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as required. Float to other qualified units and/or campuses as requested based on census needs, performing only tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented. Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes.
Required Qualifications
•
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
•
Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro ICU experience required
•
NIHSS certification required
•
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
•
Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
•
Hands-on experience with EVD and lumbar drain management
•
Experience caring for subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) patients
•
Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across varied units
