Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide direct patient care on a neurology-focused telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center setting
•
Accurately perform and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments and care for patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses
•
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout each shift
•
Float between units as needed to support staffing across the facility
•
Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting
•
Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and support holiday coverage, particularly during the Christmas holiday period
Required Qualifications
•
Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
•
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
•
At least 6 months of neurology experience required
•
Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale and neurological patient care
•
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
•
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
•
Experience working in a teaching hospital or Level II Trauma Center environment
•
Familiarity with Epic EMR
•
Comfort with floating between units or sister facilities as needed
