Job Title: RN - Telemetry
Location: Spokane, WA | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type:
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | 13 or 26-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a focus on neurology patient populations
Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments accurately and consistently
Manage care for patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses within an expected 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float between units as operationally needed
Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting
Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
At least 6 months of neurology patient care experience required
Proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays as outlined above
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a modified rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience in a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Experience caring for a broad range of neurological diagnoses
