Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a neurology focus, managing a variety of neurological diagnoses. Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale proficiently as part of routine neurological assessment. Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5. Float between units within the facility as operationally needed. Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR. Participate in weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis and support holiday staffing as required by contract.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required. At least 6 months of neurology experience required. Valid RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated. Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment. Familiarity with Epic charting system. Prior travel nursing experience, particularly in a neurology or telemetry setting.
