Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in an adult medical-surgical unit in Lawton, Oklahoma.
The LPN will support patient assessments, implement nursing care plans, monitor patient needs, assist with treatments, and collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare team members to deliver safe and effective patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with assessing adult patients' health conditions and care needs.
Support the implementation of individualized nursing care plans.
Provide nursing care and treatments within the scope of LPN practice.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist with medication administration according to applicable policies and scope of practice.
Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately.
Collaborate with registered nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Support patient comfort, safety, dignity, and privacy.
Assist with patient and family education as directed.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Participate in required holiday coverage and applicable call-back responsibilities.
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of Medical-Surgical experience required.
Active Oklahoma LPN license or applicable multistate LPN privilege authorizing practice in Oklahoma.
Ability to provide nursing care in an adult medical-surgical setting.
Strong patient care, observation, and communication skills.
Effective documentation and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to patient safety and professional nursing standards.
Ability to complete the full 13-week contract assignment.
