o Day Shift- 1 charge, 4 nurses, 2 techs, 1 unit secretary
o Night Shift – 1 charge, 4 nurses, 2 techs
Patient Ratios – 1:6 for nurses 1:10-15 for techs
Type of equipment – iv pumps, seq pumps, vein finder, bladder scanner, ekg, vital signs integrated, computers on wheels, sera steady,

Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Familiar with Expanse and admissions and discharges
Telemetry
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Previous Expanse experience
Ability to draw labs
Prefer at least one year of acute care in M/S Tele or stepdown unit
Typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Lab draws, IV insertions, foley insertions, Administer IV fluids and medications such as antibiotics
Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures
Communication with physicians
Best personality Fit:
Kindness, critical thinking skills, asks questions, understands patient safety and experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS
ACLS
NIH Certification
Floating Area(s):
Any needed within skill set
Dress Code:
Scrub Color/Attire - royal blue
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
Attend daily huddle at 0645/1845, bedside shift report, complete required daily charting
Weekends
4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
