Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

•

Manage labor processes and assist with vaginal deliveries

•

Participate in and assist with cesarean sections

•

Perform bilateral tubal ligations, D&C procedures

•

Administer and manage uterine tamponade devices

•

Administer Magnesium and Pitocin drips and perform titration

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

•

Current BLS certification

•

NRP certification

•

Intermittent EFM certification

•

Experience in labor management
