In this role, you will serve as the patient's advocate throughout the operative experience, coordinating seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the scrub team to maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment. If you are a detail-oriented perioperative professional committed to patient safety and clinical excellence, we encourage you to apply. 📋 Key Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments and document findings in the medical record • Coordinate the surgical environment by ensuring all required instrumentation, supplies, and equipment are available before incision • Serve as the patient advocate throughout the intraoperative phase, monitoring physiological status and responding to changes in condition • Conduct and document surgical counts — including sponges, sharps, and instruments — with the scrub technologist before, during, and after each procedure • Communicate critical information to the surgical team and facilitate hand-off reporting to PACU nursing staff • Maintain sterile field integrity and enforce aseptic technique standards throughout the operative procedure • Accurately document intraoperative nursing care, implants, specimens, and any variances in the electronic health record ✅ Requirements • Active ME or Compact RN license • BLS, ACLS, PALS, CNOR preferred certifications • 1+ years of OR Circulate Registered Nurse (RN) experience • CNOR certification preferred • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and familiarity with standard perioperative documentation practices Pay Pay range: $2,920 to $3,027 per week. Travel OR Circulate RN package: up to $3,027/week (40 hours) = $44/hour taxable + up to $1,267/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules. Local package: $73/hour fully taxable ($2,920/week for 40 hours). Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
