Specialty: RN-Labor and Delivery -Travel

Job Description

• RN's needed for L&D, Post Partum rooms, BFHI, babies room in with moms, average 40 deliveries per month, average 6 C-sections per month.
• May have to cover as charge nurse, after charge nurse training, on occasion
• Responsible for assisting, supporting and educating women during the four stages of delivery: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal.
• Sits with and monitors patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor
• Monitors contractions and helps patient with breathing techniques
• Monitoring the fetal heart rate and mother's vital signs.
• Cares for patients on Pitocin, MgSO4 & continuous lumbar epidural
• Checks patient’s cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation

Qualifications and Job Info

• 3 years recent experience in the specialty that is being applied for in order to be considered, in some cases more exp may be required
• ACLS OR ALSO, BLS, NRP AND FHM required
• Recent fetal monitoring
• Must have Active State Nursing license
