Licensed Practical Nurse Nursing services by the contractor will include: Practicing within the limits of their nursing job title professional qualification and within the standards of the State of Utah. In providing these services, the Contractor shall assume and provide guidance and quality of treatment to patients under the terms of this contract, as is provided to the general public. The work to be performed includes, but not limited to the following:
Location : Indian Health Services Fort Duchesne, Utah
Pay: $50 an hour
Expenses: None Paid
Schedule: Mon - Friday 8a-5p
EMR - RPMS
1. Provide patient education.
2. Carry out physician orders; administer medications, oxygen, and a variety of treatments.
3. Manage therapeutic devices such as respiratory and electrocardiograph machines and other medical equipment and supplies.
4. Measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, visual acuity and hearing.
5. Screen patientsfor alcohol dependence, depression, etc.
6. Collaborate and coordinate patient care with other health care providers.
7. Perform quality control for capillary blood glucose monitoring checks, fridge temperature checks etc.
8. Collect or assist in collection of lab specimens where applicable.
9. Recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate and maintain resuscitation measures and other emergency procedures as appropriate to the situation.
10. Recognize adverse reactions to medications, treatments, and procedures and initiate interventions as appropriate to the situation.
11. Answer and screen telephone calls, take off and initiate medical orders
