Job Description: The Med Surg RN provides direct patient care effectively and efficiently which may include patients with varied and complex needs, responsible for evaluating medical information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
• Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
• Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
• Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.

Qualification:

Education: Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing

License: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA , Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.

Certifications: BLS & ACLS

Experience: Prior 3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the specialty (Med Surg).
