• Evaluate and document patient's needs and responses to nursing interventions.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, including discharge plans, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Direct patient care activities using evidence•based practice and critical thinking skills.
• Provide guidance to Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.
• Facilitate learning opportunities to meet patient/family educational needs.
• Communicate significant patient changes to colleagues and caregivers.
• Participate in departmental meetings and educational opportunities.
• Steward hospital resources and meet unit productivity expectations.
• Support technology and process changes in the evolving health care environment.
• Contribute to problem•solving and process improvement teams.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on patient needs and scope of practice.
• Maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations.
• Provide competent patient care by interpreting data accurately and adapting procedures and treatments.
• Participate in personal and professional development and medical center education programs.

• Adhere to all medical center and departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head.
