Job Title: Behavioral Health • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Days
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our client's team in the Behavioral Health department. This is a day shift position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week for a 13•week contract.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high•quality patient care within the scope of the LVN practice.
• Adhere to all guidelines and regulations set by the state of California.
• Be prepared to float between locations as required.
• Maintain active certifications including BLS, Fire Card, and MAB/CPI.
• Ensure all credentialing documents are submitted two weeks before the start date.
Qualifications:
• Active CA LVN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of Clinical LVN experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health/psych.
• Comfortable working in a locked carceral environment with frequent interactions with justice•involved individuals.
• COVID vaccination + booster if eligible.
This role is based in Los Angeles, CA, and is open to local candidates only. The successful candidate will be working with our client's Office of Diversion and Reentry, developing and implementing programs to divert individuals with serious mental, physical, and/or behavioral health needs away from the LA County Jail and into community•based care.
Please note that all facilities have on•site parking, and PPE will be provided. The preferred scrub color is navy blue or black.
