NWH is ranked ninth (9) in the state overall and seventh (7) in the Boston metro area. NWH was also recognized as “high-performing” in eight specialties, an increase from six last year: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery, pneumonia, and stroke.

Newton Lower Falls is a village of Newton, Massachusetts and is situated on the Charles River. This area is now a suburban neighborhood and located close to the park at the old Hamilton elementary school and bordered on the northwest by the Leo J. Martin public golf course.
