Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Overview: As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients throughout their cath lab experience.

Job Details:
  • 13 week assignment
  • 8 hour day shift 7a-3:30p
  • Weekly gross $2,600

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, setup, and operation of cardiac catheterization equipment and monitoring devices.
  • Administer medications and IVs as required during cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, making immediate assessments and interventions when necessary.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the cardiac catheterization procedure and recovery.
  • Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and sterile environment in the cath lab.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiac care.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development.
