Job Title: Night Shift Behavioral Health Registered Nurse
We're seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for night shifts (7pm•7am or 11pm•7am) for a 26•week commitment of 36/40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care in a forensic mental health hospital.
• Focus on patients deemed incompetent to stand trial, aiming to restore competency.
• Work in various unit configurations, including adult and adolescent units.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• 1 year of experience in forensic psych nursing, preferably in a secure setting.
• State•recognized nursing license (RN or LVN/LPN).
• Complete immunization record.
• Current AHA CPR certification and ability to perform Heimlich and CPR.
• Training in Treatment Intervention and Preventative Strategies (TIPS).
• Successful fingerprinting, urine drug screen, and background checks.
COVID•19 vaccination is mandatory. Compliance/credentialing must be met before start. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled nurse in a challenging environment.
