About the Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. Your role involves delivering direct patient care, administering medications, performing basic medical procedures, and assisting in patient education and rehabilitation efforts.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPatient Care Delivery:\n\nProvide direct patient care under the direction of RNs and physicians, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).\nCollaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to care plans.\nMedication Administration:\n\nAdminister medications orally, intravenously, or through other approved routes as prescribed by healthcare providers.\nMonitor patients for medication effects, adverse reactions, and therapeutic outcomes.\nWound Care and Dressing Changes:\n\nPerform basic wound care, including cleaning wounds, applying dressings, and monitoring healing progress.\nReport any changes in wound condition to RNs or physicians for further evaluation and treatment.\nPatient Assessment and Documentation:\n\nConduct routine patient assessments, documenting findings accurately in medical records.\nReport changes in patients' conditions to RNs or physicians promptly and participate in care planning discussions.\nPatient and Family Education:\n\nEducate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.\nProvide instructions on medication administration, home care procedures, and lifestyle modifications as directed.\nAssistance in Medical Procedures:\n\nAssist healthcare providers in medical procedures such as examinations, diagnostic tests, and minor surgeries.\nPrepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedural care as needed.\nInfection Control and Safety Practices:\n\nFollow established infection control protocols and safety practices to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.\nAdhere to facility policies regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) and environmental cleanliness.\nCollaboration and Communication:\n\nCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction.\nReport significant findings and observations to RNs and other team members in a timely manner.
