About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have license in hand Certifications: NRP, C-EFM, BLS Must-Have: Labor and Delivery experience and Postpartum experience Description: LICENSE MUST BE IN HAND AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL. Number of Beds: 19. Patient Ratios: Labor and Delivery 1-2:1, Postpartum 3:1, Gyn/Pedi 3-4:1. Unit staffing includes nurses and unit coordinators, manager, and director. Type of equipment used includes EFM, beds, pumps, etc. Documentation systems in use are Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect. Scheduling requires working 3 twelve-hour shifts. Floating policy involves floating to other units as helping hands, sitters, or in virtual roles. Patient experience is a top priority. Advanced skills needed include procedures performed on unit such as versions, circumcisions, and C-sections. Optional certifications include STABLE and PALS. Dress code consists of unit scrubs provided. Unit guidelines and policies should be reviewed. The department has received recognition as one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals in 2025. The work environment is team-oriented. Doulas and massage therapy are available upon patient request. Patient-centered care focuses on enhancing the patient experience.
