About the Position

Job Title: RN - Peds PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 2 years preferred in critical care pediatrics License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Completed at least one travel assignment Description: Seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This unit serves primarily pediatric patients aged 0-17. Average census is 30-40 patients per day with 20 bays available. The typical patient ratio is 1:1; 1:2 acuity dependent. Experience managing infusions such as heparin and insulin is required. Occasional care for adult patients may occur based on unit needs. Self-motivated and resourceful candidates are desired. Team players who adapt to a collaborative environment are encouraged to apply. Anesthesia support is available 24/7, and nurses monitor telemetry. Familiarity with EMR systems and telemetry monitoring is necessary. Scrubs will be provided for staff working in this unit.
