Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a 64-bed Emergency Department encompassing triage, acute, trauma, super track, CDU, and psychiatric areas
• Manage and treat a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients presenting with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as clinically indicated
• Float to other units within the facility as required
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability
• Experience with high-acuity diagnoses including trauma, cardiac arrest, and stroke protocols
