About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (10:30 AM - 11:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years strongly preferred, First-timers accepted License: State or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge (provided by agency) Must-Have: - Scrub experience strongly preferred - Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: Position for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. Schedule is for three 12-hour shifts. The nurse will be on call for up to two weekend shifts per month. Holidays will require at least one holiday period worked. Registered Nurses are expected to scrub and circulate surgical procedures. The environment is dynamic and conducive to professional growth. The facility is a level-one academic trauma center with comprehensive surgical specialties. The nursing team comprises both Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists. Travelers should be willing to be part of an emergency response team during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. This position requires working alongside a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care. Encouragement for ongoing education and skill enhancement is provided. A commitment to patient-centered care and quality service is essential. All RTO (Request Time Off) must be included with the initial submission. Candidates with SC RN license in hand are prioritized for consideration. Travelers must not confirm a new or extended assignment during hurricane season if it poses a conflict. The position may have criteria that require flexibility based on the facility's needs.
