About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care - Medical Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in acute care and high acuity settings - Ability to manage 1:6 patient ratios for both days and nights - Experience with diabetic, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, and post-surgical patients Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in acute care. The nurse should be comfortable with a high turnover and fast-paced environment. Patient satisfaction and quality of care are top priorities. The role involves handling a variety of medical conditions including amputations, debridments, and wound care. The nurse will work alongside CNAs with typical ratios of 1:12. Experience with monitoring and the use of CPAP/BIPAP is essential. Nurses are expected to understand patient safety protocols. Nails may be polished, but artificial or shellac nails are not permitted. Attendance and punctuality are strictly monitored. This position may require some exposure to psychiatric care and future hospice patients. Applicants should have undergone at least one travel assignment. Knowledge of charting systems is necessary.
