About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute rehabilitation preferred License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills. Willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation. Good attention to detail and willingness to be coached regarding rehabilitation and documentation. Description: This position is for an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The unit has 18 beds with a patient ratio of 5-6:1. Staffing consists of RNs and patient care technicians. Nursing procedures performed on the unit include indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, and suture/staple removal. Experience in neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult populations is preferred. Candidates with two years of inpatient hospital experience in medical-surgical or step-down critical care are preferred. Candidates should adhere to the dress code, including wearing royal blue scrubs and maintaining a clean and healthy appearance. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Compliance with facility-issued personal protective equipment is mandatory. Floating to medical-surgical units may be required. Attendance policies will be enforced.
