About the Position
Job Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: - Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - ACLS - NRP - BLS Must-Have: - Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - ACLS - NRP - BLS Description: This position is for a travel registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The unit consists of 10 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms and 2 obstetric emergency department rooms. There are 24 bedside registered nurses on staff. Patient ratios on the night shift are typically 2:1, with a high-risk ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 if stable. Electronic medical record systems in use include CPN (Centricity) and Meditech. Typical procedures performed include cesarean sections and bilateral tubal ligations/salpingectomies. Preferred qualifications include bilingual skills and scrub tech experience. The ideal candidate should possess an open personality and be adaptable to various situations. Weekend shifts are required, with a commitment of 4 weekends per month. Floating may occur to postpartum and medical floors (only as a tech). Dress code includes royal blue scrubs.
