About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Pediatric operating room experience with cardiac experience preferred Description: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM shift with call required. The team rotates call, and it is primarily a self-scheduling call schedule. Unit consists of 2 pediatric CVOR rooms. Staff includes 4 CST and 5 RNs on day shift. Night shift staffing is not applicable. There is a requirement to be on call, and it follows a rotating self-scheduling model. Floating to other units is not required. Candidates must have pediatric CVOR experience or at least operating room experience with cardiac focus. Experience in pediatric CVOR is preferred, though CVOR scrub skills are not mandatory. Typical procedures performed include open-heart surgery on pediatric congenital heart patients, bedside sternal closures, and washout procedures in the ICU. The ideal candidate is a high performer with strong teamwork skills. This is a fast-growing pediatric cardiac center with close collaboration among various teams. It is a dedicated pediatric cardiac service line with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
