About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months of combined experience in specialty required License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience (travel experience acceptable) - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, acceptable scores required - Must work every other holiday Description: Join a Step Down unit that provides care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role involves caring for patients who require close monitoring and support during their recovery. Nurses may float to other units to provide care for similar patient populations. Shifts will rotate between days and nights to meet the operational needs of the unit. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Team collaboration is essential for optimizing patient outcomes. Clinical excellence and compassionate care are key to success in this role. Candidates must have recent and relevant experience in a comparable setting. Additional training and assessments will be completed upon orientation to ensure competency.
