About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous surgical experience - Ability to float to other units as needed - Flexibility to work weekends Description: The position requires a shift from 19:00 to 07:00. Floating to other units is expected at times. Previous surgical experience is required. You will be responsible for caring for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. General surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery are some of the procedures encountered. The unit is fast-paced. Pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above may be accepted depending on the surgical procedure. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The RTO policy states that if one holiday falls during the assignment, the candidate should expect to work it. If two holidays fall in the assignment, the expectation is to work one holiday. If three holidays fall in the assignment, the candidate is expected to work two holidays. Any requested time off must be included in the submission. A fit test is required prior to starting, and there is a zero-tolerance policy for THC.
