About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 5+ years in Emergency Department License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC Must-Have Skills/Experience: 5 years or more of experience in Emergency Department Description: Position requires 5+ years of Emergency Department experience. Candidates with ICU and Emergency Department experience will also be considered. The facility is a 250-bed academic community hospital serving the region for over 120 years. It is known as the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The facility features comprehensive surgical services, a 24-hour Emergency Department, home health and hospice agency, advanced wound healing center, and cardiac rehabilitation center. There are two cath labs and a day surgery center available. The Emergency Department consists of 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, with 7 beds utilized for behavioral health or acute patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4, although exceptions may occur during high-volume days. Electronic Health Record systems include MedHost for the Emergency Department and Meditech for admitting holds and behavioral health patients. The patient population includes individuals of all ages. Candidates must be professional, positive, compassionate, and work well in a team environment. The dress code allows for any color of scrubs of the traveler's choice. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
