About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required. License: Active license required for application. Certifications: BLS and NIH required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills. Managing and interpreting dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring experience. Post Cardiac Angiogram and Post MI care experience. Post Cardiac Cath and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery management experience. Sheath removal skills. Feeding tube care and management. Pre/Post Hemodialysis management experience. Accessing Ports and arterial line management skills. Blood product administration experience. Central line care and management experience. Phlebotomy skills. PICC line management. Starting and maintaining IVs. Heparin protocols and managing cardiac drips without titration. Managing vasoactive drips without titration. PCA and procedural sedation administration experience. Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Neurological case experience including craniotomy and CVA. Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience. Plastic surgery case experience with skin grafts. Care of ventilated patients. Chest tube management. High flow nasal cannula and interpretation of ABGs. Non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy management skills. Isolation precautions and wound care experience. Description: Position for an IMC/Stepdown/PCU RN. Shift is three 12-hour days from 0645 to 1915. Patient ratios are typically 1:4. Fast-paced unit with high patient throughput. Charge nurse may care for up to four patients if required. Will float as needed within facility. Candidates must work every other weekend. Preferred experience in a Level I trauma and teaching hospital. Cerner charting experience preferred. Solid scrub colors required. Work involves caring for adults with diverse diagnoses. Additional interdisciplinary support available on the unit. Special skills in managing patients with various conditions including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, respiratory, and surgical recovery. Experience required in rapid response teams and understanding of patient care protocols. Must be flexible with scheduling and provide optimal patient care. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality nursing practice.
