About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred Must-Have: - Two years of experience in a large, urban hospital - EPIC charting experience - Ability to float between different units as needed - Experience with drips required Description: Holiday coverage is needed. All staff are required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, which include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Travelers are first to float. Registered Nurses must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility. If travelers have a preferred unit, please indicate this upon submission. Travelers may be assigned to different campuses as necessary. This facility requires a 100% nicotine-free policy. Weekend shifts expected; four weekend shifts are required out of eight possible in a four-week period. Requests for time off must be submitted with the application. Up to two weeks of time off is permitted. Additional requests after confirmation are subject to manager discretion. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they meet specific experience criteria. A COVID-19 vaccine is required; exemptions for medical or religious reasons will be considered. Flu vaccine is not required. Candidates must manage cardiac drips including, but not limited to, Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin. Experience with rapid response and code teams is essential. The facility supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patient populations. Work schedules are subject to needs based on patient care. All applicants must comply with the established policies and protocols.
