About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required (must have 2 years in a large, urban hospital) License: State RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Drip management experience required - Must be prepared to float frequently Description: The position involves providing care to adult pre and post solid organ transplant patients. The unit provides medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare exceptions to 1:7. Travelers must be ready to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Weekends require four shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. Additional training and support staff are available on the unit. A nicotine-free policy is in place. RNs are required to wear designated scrubs with a logo. The facility prioritizes providing care to complex patient populations. First-time travelers are not accepted unless an exception is made for experienced candidates. Applicants must include any requested time off at the time of submission.
