About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night - Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for, preferable to be within one location, but can be combined. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license in hand or a compact state license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Must-Have: Must have 18 months of recent Stepdown experience. Travel experience will suffice. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments are required during orientation. Description: Position available in a stepdown unit. The nurse may float to various units to care for the same patient population. Three 12-hour shifts are required, rotating between day and night shifts. Shifts may be variable according to the operational needs of the facility. The candidate must work at least every other holiday. An acceptable score on both assessments during orientation is required. Travelers must have active certifications with nothing pending. References must be provided from supervisors in the specialty applying for. Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements. All other travelers must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen required. Candidates may extend their contract for a period of 18 months; after that, a 6-month break is required. Background checks will be reviewed, and no open cases will be accepted. The facility does not accept any license-related issues.
