About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience is required. 1 year of travel experience is required. Oncology experience is preferred but not required. License: Valid nursing license is required. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Proficient in IV starts. Experience with telemetry monitoring. Patient ratio of 1:4. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The focus will be on providing care in a specialized oncology pod. This role requires floating to various areas as needed. Candidates must have recent acute care experience—current within the last 12 months. Experience in a high-acuity environment is a plus. All candidates must complete the fingerprinting process as part of compliance. Successful candidates will be responsible for managing emergency situations and caring for patients with complex needs. Interaction with interdisciplinary support teams will be part of the role. The daily patient population will include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. A variety of patient diagnoses will be encountered within the emergency setting.
