About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS required, ACLS or PALS preferred, Basic Dysthymia class preferred Must-Have: BLS Description: The inpatient rehab unit has 16 beds and a dedicated staff of 20. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 1-2 additional RNs on day shifts. Night shifts consist of 1 point person and 1-2 other RNs. An LPN is available each shift when patient capacity is at 15 or 16. A patient care technician (PCT) is also available each shift for the same capacity. No PIC is present on the unit. Key equipment includes Welch Allens. The documentation system is EMR - Meditech. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts, rotating every third weekend. Floating policy applies to any medical floor. Experience requirements include knowledge of rehab documentation. Desired certifications include CRRN certification. The required uniform is royal blue scrubs for tops and bottoms, with an option for black scrub bottoms. The unit has received the Unit of Distinction Award for 2021. The staff in the inpatient rehab unit has an extensive average experience of around 20 years. Leadership is very engaged, providing many resources for inpatient rehab services. A team atmosphere is strongly emphasized.
