About the Position

Job Title: RN Med/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of specialty experience, 2 years of hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: BLS REQUIRED ACLS REQUIRED MED/TELE 2+ YEARS OF SPECIALTY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 2+ YEARS OF HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Description: Unit highlights and shift details include a focus on general medical-surgical procedures. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Floating policy applies as needed. Candidates must be competent in all aspects of nursing practice. Important responsibilities include promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and nursing staff. Acquisition of specialized knowledge, skills, and education is necessary for providing specialized care. Demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice are required. Candidates must supervise other staff as designated within the department. Experience in procedures performed on the unit includes initiating IVs, Foley catheter management, dressing changes, and activities of daily living (ADL). The RN will focus on patient experience and is expected to practice within the nursing domain. Candidates should exhibit patience, effective communication, and service recovery steps. Dress Code: RN scrubs must be navy blue with specified embroidery. Nail policy must ensure clean and healthy nails with no artificial nails or gel. Hair should be neat and clean, styled appropriately. Body art should be covered whenever feasible, and visible piercings outside the ear are prohibited. Attendance policies will be strictly followed.
