About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Description: Unit Information: The unit has 25 inpatient beds and can accommodate up to 27 total with additional patients from emergency department holds. Day shift typically has a charge nurse and 4-5 RNs along with 2-3 PCTs/HUC, with a house supervisor available on weekends. Night shift consists of a charge nurse with 4-5 RNs and 2-3 PCTs, with a house supervisor on duty every night. Patient ratios are maintained to ensure quality care. Equipment used in the unit includes BiPAP, Vapotherm, lifts, Baxter pumps, telemetry, and continuous oxygen. The electronic medical record system utilized is Cerner. The most sought-after skill set for candidates includes telemetry experience. Candidates with ICU experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include wound care. The best personality fit for this position is someone who is team-oriented and has good communication skills. Scheduling requires flexibility, with rotating weekends as needed. This position is a contractor replacement.
