About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Open heart and vascular surgery experience Operating room experience Description: The unit has 3 operating rooms. There are 26 staff members on this unit. The skill mix includes 4 RNs and 4 surgical technicians on day shift. There are no staff on night shift. Patient ratios are 1:1. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include CABG, valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, ECMO, angiogram, fistulagram, fistula creation, and lower extremity bypass. The environment is fast-paced. On-call duty is required 4-5 days per month, with 1 weekend per month. Scrubs are provided by the unit.
