The nurse will work on an alternating schedule of 36/48 hours. Candidates must have experience managing various patient care needs and equipment. The daily census is up to 8 patients with a patient ratio of 5 to 1. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The focus is on providing high-quality care across diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Skills in biPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and IV maintenance are necessary. The role requires proficiency in isolation precautions and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, monitoring, and implementing care plans.
