About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location and 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float between different units Description: Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. Telemetry monitoring includes measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. TR Band experience is required. Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips. The clinician to patient ratio is days and evenings up to 5:1 and nights up to 6:1. Care for non-vented patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotate between days/evenings and nights as required. EMR charting system used is EPIC.
