About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: RN Medical/Surgical Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EOW/EOH required. Intermittent charge responsibilities may be required. Charge training/shadowing is offered. Description: This is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in solid organ transplant and bariatric surgery. The typical patient population includes pre-op and post-op solid organ transplant patients such as kidney, liver, and pancreas patients. Post-op bariatric surgery patients are also part of the patient population. Other general medical/surgical patients may be cared for as well. Please note that this unit has 12 available step-down beds. These beds are not dedicated or reserved and will be filled with medical/surgical patients when there are no step-down unit patients. While efforts are made to ensure step-down patients are assigned to this unit, it cannot be guaranteed. Travelers may have to care for step-down patients, and this should be considered when applying.
