Contract | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Heart Center
  • Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as required
  • Perform triage and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment with high patient ratios (1:5–6, potentially up to 1:8)
  • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
  • Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Michigan RN license (compact license not accepted; must be active by start date)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Current ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred), PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required (certifications may not be pending beyond contract start date)
  • Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Willingness to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule and to float to the Pediatric Emergency Department

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • ENPC certification preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred (training completed during orientation if needed)
  • Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration
  • Triage experience in an emergency setting
