About the Position

Job Title: MS/Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Current state license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Tele competency required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Description: This position is for a Med Surge/Telemetry registered nurse. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week. The shift starts at 6:45 AM and ends at 7:15 PM. Patient ratios are approximately 1:5-6. Travelers are required to work every other weekend. No on-call duties are required for this position. Travelers may need to float within scope to meet facility needs. Required experience is at least two years in a similar role. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must have a valid state nursing license before starting. Certifications required include BLS and ACLS; NIH certification is preferred. Candidates should expect to care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census in this unit is approximately 36 patients. Teamwork with interdisciplinary support will be necessary. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate skills in telemetry and various nursing procedures. All required qualifications must be met to ensure compliance. Approval for any requested time off must be obtained prior to assignment. Travelers should be aware of potential emergency assignments during hurricane seasons.
