About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry experience, inpatient only Experience and competence in drug titration Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with nursing practice guidelines. Delivers direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize comfort and care. Functions within established nursing practice standards. Meets unit-specific physical demands, including bending, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work varying schedules, shifts, and days according to patient care needs. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is expected. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and minimal kneeling or crouching. Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards in patient care delivery.
