About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Cardiac Telemetry License: Current RN License in state Certifications: BLS from AHA; Four trauma credits (must be obtained within the first two weeks); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start Must-Have: Experience in drug titration Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the organization's mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty, bending, stooping, and lifting and turning patients with assistance. May work differing schedules, shifts, and days according to patient care requirements. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Ensures confidentiality of patient information. Performs responsibilities consistent with the organization's mission and values.
